District Beach Cleanup - Coastal Cleanup Day

Our local lodges have organized a district-wide cleanup on Coastal Cleanup Day, which is on September 23rd. We have partnered with the City of San Clemente, Coast Keepers, and the Fisherman's Restaurant for this event. The cleanup is to take place at the San Clemente Pier where volunteers can clean north and south of the pier as well as the trails and along the beach rocks. Registered volunteers will be provided a complimentary burrito by the Fishermans as thanks for their efforts. The event starts at 9AM and ends at 12PM.

Coastal Cleanup Day is California's largest annual volunteer event. It is an opportunity for people across the state to clean our creeks, rivers, lakes, coast, and shorelines of all kinds, to help restore our environment. Virtually every body of water in California ultimately flows to the ocean, and that water can carry a lot of trash. That's why Coastal Cleanup Day takes place throughout the state – no matter where you're cleaning, you are helping to protect our coast and ocean.
